The man who gave us Rocketman, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road & of course B-b-b-Bennie & the Jets, Elton John is one of the biggest superstars in rock history. Not only has Texas seen Elton live before, but the appreciation was shown even BEFORE he came here (and it certainly has stayed after he gave the crowd a wonderful show)

How many times has Elton John come to Texas?

Elton has actually performed in El Paso a total of 3 times (at the Sun Bowl in 1972, the Don Haskins in 2007 & again in 2017). In fact as a whole, he HAS given the entire state of Texas a NUMBER of shows dating all the way back to 1971. The last time he performed in Texas was October 29th, 2022 in San Antonio as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.

Elton John even named one of his songs after Texas & El Paso

Just 2 years after his first appearance in Texas, Elton would include Texas in one of his songs. "Texan Love Song" off of his album, Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player.

Elton would also include the city of El Paso in another of his songs; a much earlier song released in 1969/1970 called "All the Way Down to El Paso"

Even after Elton's shows, the love in El Paso has continued to stay

Recently there's a place that's opened up in El Paso called Elton's Dueling Pianos, a bar where people can...well... DUEL ON PIANOS. And yes the place was named after Sir Elton John.

Even our own Buzz Adams has had his own...fun time there.

And that's not even including the Rocketman Experience that's performed at Cool Canyon Nights in 2023.

So it's clear... we love Elton John. He's an icon that we'll treasure for the rest of time.
