The El Paso food pantry is teaming up with a local church to give food baskets to needy families.

The El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, along with the New Hope Church Of God, will be passing out food baskets to families Saturday, (6/29), beginning at 8:30am. Families can pick up their baskets at the church, located at 7623 Wilcox. One basket per family, first come first served.

According to the New Hope web site, they have:

several outreach services which include the food pantry for anyone who needs assistance with food articles, regardless of where or if they attend church.

We have a clothes and a school supplies drive which continue throughout the year.

The El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank also operates year round. According to their Facebook page, they are:

El Paso's only Food Bank and a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief network and the Texas Food Bank Network, a network of 19 Feeding America food banks in Texas. All which help provide hunger relief to every county in Texas.
