El Pasoan Turns Local Political Drama Into a Facebook Soap Opera
I originally started following Mario Snelling on Facebook because he shares some awesome recipes. My mom originally pointed out Mario in a Facebook group and said, "This guy is great!"
For a second, I had to stop and think how did my mom even know what a Facebook group is? I didn't think about it too much because her choice in group led me to some comedy gold.
During these stressful times filled with El Paso and Texas politicians disagreeing with each other and issuing lockdowns, it is good to try to find some type of humor in a serious situation.
Now, while others may find these dramatic posts funny, true El Pasoans will laugh out loud with the references and use of slang. WARNING: Some harsh, not safe for work words are used in these posts.
Mario started his soap opera/novella with the original argument that started between El Paso Mayor Dee Margo and El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego.
Mayor: Look, we gotta sit down and talk about this. I don’t wanna fight in front of the kids aka el pasoans anymore....
Now things started to get heated once Judge Samaniego issued a lockdown that Mayor Margo, Texas Attorney Governor Ken Paxton, and Texas Governor Greg Abbott all called out El Paso County Judge Samaniego for issuing an "illegal lockdown."
AG & Mayor: *send out lawsuit for unlawful order* 👯♂️
Judge: *catches all the chisme from his fake social media...
I am so looking forward to the next episode of what Mario has named, 'La Reina de Chuco' which is also just perfection. Any guesses of what will happen next? Send your script ideas through our free 93.1 KISSFM App.
