Kinda short notice but, if you're into hiking, you might want to go to one or two of these!

The city of El Paso has scheduled some meetings regarding "trailhead" projects, designed to make it easier for the public to access hiking and biking trails around El Paso.

According to El Paso Herald Post online, these projects "have a combined total budget of $600,000 and will provide for the construction of parking spaces, landscaping and the installation of pet waste stations, trash cans, benches and picnic tables."

The stakeholder meeting, regarding the Roundhouse Trailhead, will be at 3:00pm today, (1/12) in the multipurpose room at Veterans Recreation Center, 5301 Salem. Community meetings are as follows:

6 p.m. on Thursday, January 12th, 2017

In the cafeteria of Nolan Richardson Middle School, at 11350 Loma Franklin Drive

Community Meeting for Thunderbird Trailhead

6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24th, 2017

In the cafeteria of Western Hills Elementary School, located at 530 Thunderbird Drive

Community Meeting for Thousand Steps Trailhead
