Crimes Of The Week: El Paso Teens Giving City A Bad Name
This week there was a rash of crimes that involved guns, drugs, and most concerningly El Paso teenagers.
FEBRUARY 4TH, 2022
According to the El Paso Police Department, "A 17-year old was arrested after he was found in possession of drugs, money, and a cache of weapons. Central patrol officers responded to a suspicious person call at the 1300 block of St. Vrain at approximately 12:00 a.m. on February 4th. Francisco Javier Guacin Jr. was arrested after a brief vehicle and foot chase. In possession of over $7,000 cash, five handguns, three rifles, several loaded magazines, cocaine, and marijuana. Guacin was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. Additional charges are pending."
FEBRUARY 8TH, 2022
According to the El Paso Police Department, "Patrol officers responded to the shooting call just before five a.m. Two victims with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds were transported to a nearby hospital and three other victims who were uninjured remained at the scene. The shooting occurred after the victims all left a nearby “gentlemen’s club” in the same vehicle and were followed by a person(s) in another vehicle. As the victims were driving on Gateway E. they were shot at from the other vehicle." One of the victims was an 18-year old male! No age on the actual criminals though.
FEBRUARY 10TH, 2022
According to the El Paso Police Department, "...officers from the Westside Regional Command observed a Honda Pilot that was involved in a previous incident where multiple weapons, money, and drugs were found. A traffic stop was conducted on the Honda which led to the arrest of Yobani Acosta and Sebastian Ramirez for possession of marijuana. A juvenile was taken into custody for possession of marijuana and a handgun." A 17-year-old!!!
