I'll admit it: I was kind of loving the recent El Paso weather.

The cloudy skies, the rain, the cooler temperatures- it was giving me major Twilight weather. All I needed was "Eyes on Fire" playing in the background while I dramatically stared out a rain-covered window.

But while I was enjoying our brief transformation into Forks, Washington, Mother Nature was causing some very real problems around El Paso.

And after days of some pretty wild weather, we wanted to see what the rain looked like from where you were standing.

So, we asked our Facebook followers to send us their photos from around the Borderland, and El Paso definitely delivered.

El Paso's Recent Rain Brought Flooding and Plenty of Damage

As beautiful as those cloudy skies were at times, the recent storms weren't exactly peaceful for everyone.

Heavy rain caused flooding across the city, stranded vehicles, damaged roads and brought down trees and utility lines. The El Paso Fire Department has been extremely busing responding to several storm related calls that include flooding and stuck vehicles.

There was even a sinkhole reported in Central El Paso, while heavy rain caused leaks inside the El Paso International Airport.

It was a weird few days around here.

But through all the rain, lightning, flooded streets and dramatic skies, El Pasoans had their phones ready and captured just about every side of the storms.

Here's what the recent El Paso rain looked like through your eyes:

El Paso Weather Has Made for a Wild Start to Fall

Fall officially arrived this week, and El Paso weather certainly knew how to make an entrance.

We've already had the storms, flooded streets, power outages, lightning shows and, of course, the inevitable moment temperatures dropped and everyone suddenly decided it was caldo weather.

For now, things are calming down a bit. The National Weather Service forecast calls for mostly sunny skies through much of the weekend, giving El Paso a chance to dry out.

But don't put the umbrellas away just yet.

Rain chances return Monday, with showers and thunderstorms becoming more likely Monday night and additional chances sticking around Tuesday.

At this rate, who knows what the rest of fall has waiting for us.

Personally, I'll take a little more Twilight weather- just maybe without all the flooding next time.
