Noooo! – El Paso Losing Another Great Restaurant
It's a good thing El Paso has plenty of tasty Mexican food restaurants to choose from because we're about to lose a really good one that has been in El Paso for 10 years.
It's not a locally owned brand but it has become a main stay for residents in its east/east central El Paos location and employees of the many businesses in and around the Fountains at Farah.
April 13th, Chuys Mexican Restaurant ... located on the lower level of the Fountains at Farah, just off Gateway West ,,, will close its doors for good.
Yep, you better hurry if you want to enjoy their delicious Tex - Mex a few more times as you only have a few days at this point. 10 to be exact. Darden Restaurants owns the Chuy's brand as well as several other chain restaurants including Olive Garden, Yard House, LongHorn Steakhouse and a few others.
Here in El Paso, they also own Olive Garden and Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. Those are among the locations where they have offered to reassign the displaced Chuy's employees who wish to stay in the industry and with Darden Restaurants.
This follows the closure late last year of Craft and Social, live entertainment venue Ricky D's and Boston's Pizza Company. Boston's closed as a result of slow growth and construction on the west side but do plan to reopen once the area "settles".
Duets, a local karaoke and occasional comedy club in central El Paso, also shut down a few weeks ago.
