El Paso Man Accused Of Smuggling Cocaine From Mexico
An El Paso man is facing charges after Port officials say they found 10 pounds of cocaine inside his car. Authorities arrested Edgar Manuel Morales, 21, Tuesday afternoon at the Paso Del Norte port of entry from Mexico. Customs and Border Protection officers say they found five cocaine filled bundles in the car's engine compartment after scanning the car with an X-ray. The drugs have an estimated street value of more than $326,000.
Police Seek Missing Man With Dementia & Schizophrenia
Authorities are on the lookout for a missing El Paso man who suffers from dementia and schizophrenia. Police say Richard Gutierrez, 63, was last seen Wednesday morning walking away from the Sierra Providence East hospital on Joe Battle Boulevard. He was last seen wearing baggy jeans and a gray hoodie. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact authorities.
Blue Bell Distribution Center in Texas Has Ice Cream
Blue Bell ice cream could be arriving on shelves in Texas in the next few weeks. A Blue Bell spokesperson tells ABC 13 ice cream has arrived at their Alvin distribution center. It's expected to be on store shelves by the middle of next month. The Brenham-based creamery had to recall its entire product earlier this year after a listeria outbreak.
