Jefferson High, Downtown Dinner & Ghost Walk: April Ghost Walks
If you're into haunted history and visiting locations alleged to be haunted, you live in the right place. Our area's long, rich, and haunted history rivals that of any other in America.
The list of places either alleged to be or well documented as haunted is long. This month, explore and investigate some of those creepy places with El Paso-area paranormal groups.
April’s spooky offerings include a paranormal investigation inside the soon-to-be-demolished Jefferson High School, dine with the dead in a haunted downtown El Paso bodega, and a candle-lit tour of the notoriously haunted and historic Dona Ana County Courthouse and Jail in Las Cruces.
April 2022 Ghost Walks & Ghost Tours
Lost El Paso Paranormal
El Paso’s only costumed storytellers guide you by lantern-light through the haunted streets, graveyards, and historical buildings and areas in and around El Paso.
On Saturday, April 23, the brave, hungry, and curious can have their tacos with a side of spooky on the Haunted Downtown Dinner & Ghost Walk.
The walking tour will end at the Mills Corner Store, where dinner and drinks will be served and the store owner and her family will recount their personal experiences with who -- or what -- has been haunting the bodega, and even share the spooky photos they and tenants have taken. Ghosts915 – Paso del Norte Paranormal Society
La Jeff, as Jefferson High School is affectionately known to past and present alumni, is scheduled to be demolished this summer after 73-years of service. But not before Ghosts 915 conducts a paranormal investigation of the building.
What spooky mysteries does this historic institution hold? Do ghosts really wander its hallways as alleged? Don't look at me, I don’t know either. Those are what you call rhetorical questions.
The Jefferson High School Ghost Tour is one of at least 4 ghost walks the Paso del Norte Paranormal Society is offering in April. [Events List + More Info]
Southwest Expeditions
The Las Cruces based adventure tours company will be conducting a 2-hour candle-lit walking tour of the famously haunted and extremely active Dona Ana County Courthouse and Jail.
The building located on West Amador in Las Cruces houses the abandoned jail the Travel Channel show “Ghost Adventures” investigated and spotlighted in an episode in 2017.
Ramiro Galvan and his crew from Paranormal Research Investigations El Paso will lead you by candle light down the maze-like hallways of the 85-year-old courthouse and jail where they have documented all kinds of spooky activities over the years, including shadow figures, disembodied laughter and voices, and loud menacing footsteps.
A tour of a “haunted 1910 era school house” that now “houses a museum full of antiques, old doll collections and mannequins” is another paranormal event being offered by Southwest Expeditions this month. [Events List + More Info]
