El Paso Actress Is One of the Stars In “The Garcias” Show On HBO Max
Lately many actors & actresses from El Paso are getting great gigs in movie & television. Some were celebrities that perhaps you didn't know were born IN El Paso, & others are BECOMING celebrities. One particular actress landed an acting role in the new adaption of The Garcias that premiered April 14th on HBO Max
The 13 year old actress, Maeve Garay, was born in El Paso & can seen in her new acting role as Victoria Camacho Garcia in The Garcias, a Nickelodeon reboot of the 2000 show "Brother's Garcia". The plot of the show revolves around a family based in San Antonio, TX who all go out to a family beach house in Mexico for a summer vacation. She revealed her role in the show back in March on The Garcias YouTube channel.
Maeve was also recently interviewed on both KVIA & KTSM; she explained that she was born & raised here in El Paso & that she landed her first role in acting for a commercial when she was 5 years old in Los Angeles. She also travels between L.A. & in El Paso living a normal life: going to school in El Paso, & is active playing volleyball, soccer & swimming.
As stated before, she's been acting since she was 5 but she landed her first tv role as Young Marie in Deadly Class, Mariposa in Briarpatch, and appeared in the 2021 movie Army of the Dead. According to IMDb, she's also starring in another movie called Keyhole Garden as well as appearing in the short Tumbleweed.
With a promising career at such a young age, we wish her plenty of success in her future acting roles.
