E-Cigarette Users Take Up Smoking to Kick Nicotine Addiction
It's becoming a vicious cycle apparently. Smokers take up vaping because it's a 'safer alternative'. Yes, we still aren't quite sure how safe it really is. There is apparently a new threat to vaping. Picking up smoking. Yup. It's now going in reverse
There are people who picked up vaping to quit smoking. Now they're going back to smoking to quit vaping.
Look, if you are one of these people, I think it's time to realize that the problem here is bigger than just kicking the nicotine habit. You clearly have an issue with addiction that needs more attention. More than just finding another vice to feed your addiction.
According to a CNN article:
Vaping may not be safe either. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating more than 450 cases of lung disease in 33 states — mostly among young people — possibly linked to vaping nicotine and marijuana. Six people have died. California is investigating at least 60 cases.
And in regards to people going back to the original vice:
It isn't a complete surprise that some young people are "going back to the product they were trying to quit in the first place," said Pamela Ling, a professor of medicine at the University of California-San Francisco who studies tobacco and its marketing.
