Dokken was one of the few bands that were able to perform in El Paso before the lockdown started. Now, they're back to rock out again in 2021.

At the beginning of 2021, there were so many highly anticipated concerts that we were excited to see in the Sun City. The epic Rage Against The Machine show is the first that comes to mind but trust me, there were plenty others. Sadly, we were only able to enjoy a few shows before the City of El Paso was shut down and bands were told to stay home.

One of the final shows that El Paso got to experience was Dokken at Speaking Rock back in March of 2021. It was less than a week later that the City of El Paso had its first confirmed case of COVID-19 and things started shutting down. This made the Dokken show at Speaking Rock one of the last rock shows in El Paso in 2020.

Dokken's classic lineup of the band reunited back in 2016 for a short tour in Japan for the first time in 21 years according to Blabbermouth. The band also released a concert DVD in 2018 and the current lineup of the band has been in the studio working on new music.

Dokken will be playing Saturday, August 14th at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center. Also on the bill is George Lynch from Lynchmob. Gates open at 5 p.m. and this is a free concert for people 21 years of age and up. Find out more information on the Facebook Event page.
