It's a world of laughter, a world of tears. It's a world of hopes and a world of fears. No, seriously, it's a world of fears. The current pandemic has had Disney parks around the world shut down- the reopen- then shut down again. Walt Disney World in Florida recently reopened- I have a cousin who works there and said that all social distancing measures were in place to keep cast members and guests safe. From the videos floating on social media, it did look kind of safe, and the park looked near empty which is every Disney fans dream come true!

In May, Shanghai Disneyland opened up with social distancing measures in place. Hong Kong Disneyland opened back up a few weeks ago on June 18, and now they've announced that they are closing- but only temporarily. A rise in 52 case in the city have forced Hong Kong officials to tighten social distancing measures and that includes the house of Mouse. A Disney spokesperson said:

"As required by the government and health authorities in line with prevention efforts taking place across Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland park will temporarily close from July 15."

There's no word on when the park will reopen, Disney World, despite a rise in cases in Florida remains open. Could Disney World follow suit? Only time will tell. Disneyland in Anaheim also remains closed. They had announced a reopening for this month but immediately cancelled after backlash and a surge of cases in California. That means that, yes, the house of mouse STILL has my money. It's like at this point, I'm never going to see that money again. Give me back my money, Mouse!
