Dear Buzz….”My Dr. Yelled at me for Not Knowing the Metric System!”

Hey Buzz I took my son to the doctor a couple of months back and they weighed him in kg, I asked the nurse what is that in lbs, she told me, "shhhh, ill tell you after we fininsh". I asked her why cant you tell me now. She kept on insisting and finally the doctor came and asked me what the problem was. I told him I wanted to know how much my son weighed in lbs. He ripped me a new one instanly. He told me the the Medical Association of America is changing the way we weigh and measure here in America. He did not understand why we (the American people) dont use what the rest of the world uses. That it makes us look dumb, and to start learning the metric system cause that is the way the world does it. We are not special enough not to use the metric system.
