David Irving was suspended indefinitely after violating the league's substance abuse policy and now it looks like he's choosing to just walk away football. Irving went to Instagram to announce that he was leaving football, all while smoking a blunt.

Irving had signed with the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2015 as an undrafted free agent, but was quickly signed by the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately Irving was never able to show his true potential on the field because of suspensions.

Irving has been suspended 3 straight seasons, playing in just 37 games over 4 seasons, and only 2 games last year. Irving is also only technically a Cowboy until March 13th, as he will be a free agent when the new league year begins. But at this point, it's not looking like he's going to be signing with anyone, at all.

I do find it funny how the NFL still has no problem pumping their players full of prescription pain killers, but smoking weed can derail a guy's career. Someone needs to check Goodell and the other execs for CTE.
