This Thursday, July 29, you can move around the floor with Locomotion and do it holding hands with Locomotion at Cool Canyon Nights. In case my attempts at a clever lead-in sentence didn't make it clear, Locomotion is the featured act this week at 93.1 KISS-FM’s family-friendly summer concert series.

To further paraphrase the classic pop song the group shares its name with, Locomotion has a lot of rhythm and a lot of soul, and we know you’ll get to like them if you give them a chance.

Not only will fans of the free outdoor music series be among the first to check out the El Paso band's new lineup that includes a new female singer, but it will be a first for them, too, as Thursday's performance will be the first time on the Cool Canyon Nights main stage for the versatile group. Attendees can expect a lot of music variety, including Pop, Rock, R&B, and Latin.

Set against the backdrop of the majestic Franklin Mountains inside the McKelligon Amphitheatre, attendance to Cool Canyon Nights is free and seating is on a first-come basis.

But if you want guaranteed seating, you can upgrade to V.I.P. seating. For $15 a person (plus taxes and fees), you get access to the VIP area beginning at 6 p.m., plus front-of-the-line access and a guaranteed seat inside of the amphitheater. To lock down seating for this or one of the upcoming shows simply CLICK HERE.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The fun starts at 6 p.m. with live music from The Retroz on the El Paso Community College Patio Stage, and craft beer, cocktails and food trucks in the cool shade of the canyon. Locomotion's performance gets underway at approximately 7:15.
