Clarifying my “Cringe” statement

Maybe what I was trying to say was that I wish our national response was as even-tempered and dispassionate as the way the Navy Seals went about their business: cool, unemotional, business-like. Nothing at all like the packs of wild pagans they showed dancing in the dirt streets of the middle east after the WTC came down.
If I had to shoot a rabid dog down, I'd just shoot him and dispose of the body without any sense of revenge. I wouldn't feel I needed to throw myself a party after I did it. It was just something that needed to be done, that's all.
