Cheech Marin’s Chicano Art Museum Is Set to Open This Fall
After 4 years of being in the works, Cheech Marin will finally be able to make his dream a reality.
Cheech Marin will finally be able to put things in motion to get the ball going on the long-awaited Chicano art museum. As most of you should know Cheech Marin isn't just a comedic actor but also a Chicano artist.
We should know about Cheech Marin's love for art after all that was his main visit once to El Paso, Texas years ago. In 2018 Cheech once celebrated with other art fanatics at the El Paso Museum of Art in Downtown when he shared his private collection.
The El Paso Museum of Art displayed Cheech Marin's collection from March 17 through June 17, 2018. The Papel Chicano Dol was a private collection Cheech Marin had shared with us in El Paso.
If you weren't able to catch a view of his collection, the El Paso Museum of Art captured pictures of the collection for you to see later.
Cheech Marin has been waiting for this day to come for quite some time now. In fact, not only has Cheech been waiting for this day but so have other fellow art fanatics. This fall "The Cheech" aka The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture is expected to open.
The new center will be located in Riverside, California showcasing Mexican-American art and even culture. The renovations will start once the library settles in their new home a few blocks away. Now Chicano art has a place to call home for good now for all to admire.
