Most don't traditionally assume Toll fans could also be Burners, the name of festival-goers of the annual Burning Man Festival that happens in Nevada's Black Rock Desert. The festival has a wide variety of musical performers that happen throughout the 9-day festival. Burning Man is more than a music festival though- Burning Man is a movement. It is a cultural phenomenon built on their ten principles:

  • radical inclusion
  • gifting
  • decommodification
  • radical self-reliance
  • radical self-expression
  • communal effort
  • civic responsibility
  • leaving no trace
  • participation
  • immediacy

At this year's Burning Man, artist Alex Grey was in attendance for the festivities. You may not be familiar with the name but you are familiar with his work. Grey has designed covers for several Tool albums which includes Fear Inoculum. During Burning Man, he decided to host a listening party for the new album. The listening session was filled with dancers and headbangers alike, all enjoying the 13-year labor of love from the band. Check out the awesome videos above and below.
