The Welsh metallers of Bullet for My Valentine have just unleashed the brand new track 'Raising Hell' via a premiere on BBC radio (listen above). It was just over a year ago that Bullet debuted the title track for 'Temper Temper,' but the boys are already back with the first piece of their upcoming fifth studio album.

'Temper Temper' hit shelves in February of this year, and although we gave the album a favorable review, many other publications marked the record with average and negative reactions. Possibly fired up by such reviews, Bullet for My Valentine rushed into the studio once again, and the first product of those studio sessions has already been made public.

Stylistically, 'Raising Hell' brings Bullet for My Valentine back to their formative years. The song hones a bit more attitude than recent offerings, focusing heavily on the band's guitar section. The intro is very reminiscent of Children of Bodom's 'Everytime I Die,' but afterwards, there's no mistaking 'Raising Hell' for anything but a Bullet for My Valentine track.

“It’s definitely more of a step towards our first two records,” frontman Matt Tuck states during a chat with Billboard. “We always like to keep changing our records and our sounds and stuff. I think you have to change, otherwise it gets boring for us and the fans get bored. Look at all the great bands through rock history; they changed on all their albums — especially Metallica. Their albums have always changed, and they’re the biggest metal band ever. So we just want to keep changing and get to another level each time out.”
