It damn sure ain't your Daddy's Indian...

They started out as dirt racers, then went on to street racing. After that, came the cruisers and all those classic designs. This new Indian model is a far cry from the cruisers, basing its look on the classic 70's Indian Scout 750. (Picture the bike Evel Knievel used.)  It also has a new engine that brings it back to those racing roots in design and power.

According to the Indian web site,

Indian Motorcycle is America’s First Motorcycle Company®. Founded in 1901, Indian Motorcycle has won the hearts of motorcyclists around the world and earned distinction as one of America’s most legendary and iconic brands through unrivaled racing dominance, engineering prowess and countless innovations and industry firsts. Today that heritage and passion is reignited under new brand stewardship.
