Austin, Texas Burger Shop Catches the Attention of Tom Segura
I look forward to the latest episode of Your Mom's House Podcast every Wednesday. Comedians Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky host this weekly podcast with some of the weirdest discussions and videos you will ever hear and see.
One exciting discussion during episode 623 involves talking about Texans cooking brisket. From brisket, they start talking about burgers. Specifically JewBoy burgers. The conversation originally started with the comedian making fun of the restaurant's name with his Jewish producer, Nadav.
I had no idea this was a restaurant in Austin until one of my favorite comedians showed them some love. Fans of YMH are hardcore, so I am hoping his shoutout will get some fans to go out and try this burger. Some people might even be offended by the name but after some research, I found out the history of the name has an El Paso connection.
The surprising connection is JewBoy is owned by an El Pasoan, thanks to Texas Monthly.
Mind. Blown.
El Pasoan Making Burgers in Austin
JewBoy Burgers is the creation of El Pasoan, Mo Pittle. I recently looked up his Facebook profile to confirm and instantly was hit with some delicious promotions for JewBoy Burgers.
Mo makes sure to keep little touches of El Paso in his restaurant, as you can see from this photo posted in a review of the restaurant.
It seems many people knew JewBoy is El Pasoan-owned and I am late to the party. One Facebook user even called out Mo from being from El Paso when it came to the usage of Hatch Green Chile in a burger.
Some of those who remember Mo from school hope to go out and visit him at JewBoy burgers soon.
Segura speaks highly of just how good JewBoy is on his podcast. His whole production crew moved from California to Austin to follow the comedian and his family.
Did I mention Tom and Christina are married? A very cute coupe.
Now if only I can try a JewBoy Burger without going to Austin.
