Where Is the Arizona Band That Knocked Out Danzig Today?

Yes anyone who's read the rock & metal history books knows one of the craziest backstage fights happened in Tuba City, Arizona on July 3, 2004. If you don't know the story, that was the day where the front man of the Phoenix, Arizona punk band North Side Kings, Danny Marianino, punched Glenn Danzig in the face (Danzig certainly had some strong feelings about that night).

Where are Arizona's North Side Kings now?

Well as one you could imagine that after the incident, the band didn't exactly do a lot afterwards. Ever after their last album, 2008's Suburban Royalty, the band did stay active on their Facebook account for a few years; their last post was back in 2012.

However their lead singer, Danny, HAS been quite active after the incident. He's appeared on a few podcasts & talked about what happened in Tuba City & has written a few books during his spare time that are available on his website; his first book was called Don't Ever Punch a Rockstar: A Collection of Hate Mail and Other Crazy Rumors.

So yeah Danny definitely doesn't mind talking about what happened back in 2004; he even says that he's "undefeated".

As for the band itself, they haven't released anything since 2008. However the band DID reunite in 2017 after a 10 year hiatus at The Rebel Lounge in Phoenix on December 13. Aside from that, it's been quiet for the North Side Kings.

It's very unlikely we will see the band do another show with Danzig in the future but this is definitely one of the most memorable stories in rock history; one that will live on for the rest of time.
