An El Paso Favorite Returns & You Can Hear The New Song on KLAQ
Every Sunday afternoon, from 5 to 7pm, 95.5 KLAQ brings you the latest national rock releases & we show off tons of local rock from El Paso & around the Borderland. We call it Q-Connected.
This week we were all surprised by the HUGE announcement of the return of The Mars Volta. The last album they put out was 2012's Noctourniquet & that was the last time we saw any new songs from them (they did however have MANY side projects). At least it WAS the case until this week where they announced a 13-date reunion tour for 2022 & in doing so, we were blessed with a brand new song called "Blacklight Shine".
If you want to check out the whole 11 minute music video, you can down below (don't worry we'll play the much SHORTER version for Q Connected).
We'll also hear one of the bands playing this year's Cool Canyon Nights: Feline Fox. They'll be performing on the Amphitheater stage, June 30th. You can get your VIP tickets & see the whole line up for the 2022 CCN season HERE.
Revati returns to the show & will be performing in El Paso for two nights after taking a LONG time from playing on stage.
We also hear the latest from El Paso's Texas Voodoo Stomp, At At, As Hope & much more.
Let's not forget we will also hear the new songs from Fozzy, Ozzy & Highly Suspect; the last two JUST put out new material this week:
- Highly Suspect released 2 new songs on Wednesday (we'll hear one of them on Sunday)
- and Ozzy FINALLY released the first single from his new album coming out September 9th TODAY: Patient No. 9
If you're a performing artist from El Paso (or have performed within 200 miles of El Paso), you can submit your music for the NEXT Q Connected right HERE or send me an email at daniel.paulus@townsquaremedia.com
