The AARP Foundation is once again helping out El Pasoans by offering FREE tax preparation services at various El Paso Parks and Rec facilities. The government may be shut down right now, but that doesn't mean you can get away with not filing your taxes. This can be a stressful time of year, even more so for federal employees who are working without pay. Tax season is coming and on January 28th people can begin filing their taxes with the IRS. The cost of getting a tax service to prepare your paperwork can get expensive but luckily our local AARP is ready to help you.

The AARP Foundation will be set up at El Paso Parks and Recreation facilities around the city from February 1st to April 12th. Anyone with a low or moderate income are allowed to use their free tax preparation services. Please be aware it takes about 30 minutes for the volunteer to prepare your taxes and spots are by appointment only. You can call in advance to set up an appointment and get more information. The facilities that will be having the tax preparation services and their telephone numbers to contact them are:
