A Las Cruces Shelter Dog Is Heading For The Big Game
Not that "Big Game", the other one - Puppy Bowl XVI.
Folks, meet Dracula ... a fighter from the mean streets of Cruces who's gone from abandoned "stray" to Puppy Bowl stardom. He, his Mom and his brother were found in Las Cruces and taken to the Mesilla Animal Services Center.
From there, it's a "rags to riches" kind of story according to Lost2Found Pets Las Cruces:
This is Tawny, now named Dracula. Tawny, her mom Meena and her brother Biggie were picked up as strays on 7-9-19 and were impounded at Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley. She was an itty bitty puppy then, just a few days old. One of the shelter supervisors noted – “This little female is full of attitude. Very tough itty bitty bark." She was preparing for the Puppy Bowl even back then!
The "Drac Pack" stayed at the shelter a couple of weeks before Dracula was adopted and subsequently "drafted" by defending Puppy Bowl champs, Team Ruff to take the field in Puppy Bowl XVI. (Watch the draft here and watch Dracula in action above.)
