The 80s were a decade of pure rock & metal; so many genres came out during that time: thrash metal, punk rock, & glam metal were very popular during that time. Not ever band survived the test of time, but Faster Pussycat did & they have been since 1985.

They've always been one of those bands where you've heard of them & probably have heard their songs before & you never knew it. One of their earliest hits came off their self-titled debut in 1987, "Bathroom Wall".

Another big hit was their cover of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain" back in 1990.

But their biggest hit came back in 1989 off their 2nd album, Wake Me When It's Over. If you've seen the show Peacemaker, you'll recognize this song. (also the music video is pretty emotional so make sure you have a tissue handy just in case).

They've certainly performed their hits here in El Paso in person. Since 1987, they've been regularly coming to perform for us here at. The last times they were here were at Speaking Rock in 2014 & 2017. And they came back last year at B-17 Bombers.

They'll be back here again in 2022; this time they'll be performing at The Rockhouse, 9828 Montana, on August 2nd.
