The biggest ranch in Texas is located near Corpus Christi. The King Ranch covers 825,000 acres and is bigger than the state of Rhode Island.
The highest point in Texas is right up I-10 from us, a couple of hours from Van Horn, in Guadalupe Mountains National Park. The record goes specifically to Guadalupe Peak which stands 8,751 feet high. The highest point in the Franklin Mountains is 7,291 feet.
The biggest bar in Texas is in Fort Worth. Said to be the "world's largest honky tonk", Billy Bob's takes up 100,000 square feet and is absolutely the biggest watering hole in Texas.
The tallest statue in Texas is of one of the states founders, Sam Houston. Located in Huntsville, the statue is 67 feet tall.
We Texans take our football ... and our stadiums ... pretty seriously. The biggest one is Kyle Field in College Station which seats over 102,000 people. For comparison, the Sun Bowl seats 51,500 and the total population of Las Cruces is under 113,000.)
