5 Spooky Halloween Themed Beers You Can Find In El Paso This Year
Every year Halloween rolls by and pumpkin themed foods and drinks seem to be popping up ad nauseam.
This year I decided to focus on my favorite treat... beer!
Below are the five Halloween themed beers you can find in El Paso for Halloween 2021 and their descriptions from TotalWine. But be careful with these spirits or else you may end up having one haunted halloween!
BELCHING BEAVER DEFTONES PHANTOM BRIDE
(Drink the beaver, don't eat it.)
"California- American India Pale Ale (IPA)- 7.1% ABV. 60 IBUs. Named after the etheral song by the one and only Deftones, Phantom Bride IPA is a blend of Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops delicately balanced for the perfectly drinkable mix of citrus and hoppy goodness."
SAMUEL ADAMS JACKO PUMPKIN ALE
(Jacko? Lol. Who thought this up?)
"Massachusetts- Pumpkin Ale - 4.4% ABV. This sweet, crisp pumpkin ale is an alluring wheat beer illuminated by the tastes of fall. It strikes a perfect balance between refreshment and seasonal spices. It is brewed with real pumpkin to encapsulate all the great flavors of fall."
ROGUE DEAD GUY
(by beer number five... You dead.)
"Oregon- Maibock/Helles Bock- 6.8% ABV. Gratefully dedicated to the Rogue in each of us, this German-style Maibock is made with Rogue's proprietary ""PacMan"" ale yeast. Deep honey color with malty aromas, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Won in World's Beverage Competition."
SHIPYARD PUMPKIN-HEAD ALE
(pumpkin head? I think they're calling you dumb bro!)
"Maine- Pumpkin Ale- Pumpkinhead Ale is a crisp and refreshing wheat ale with delightful aromatics and subtle spiced flavor. Hints of cinnamon and nutmeg make this fall brew a flavor sensation."
PRAIRIE PUMPKIN KERFUFFLE
(you drink enough of these, your whole life turns into a kefuffle)
"Oklahoma -English Strong Ale - 8.2% ABV. ""Imperial sour beer with pumpkin pie spice blend and toasted marsh mellow flavor. You ever wonder what would happen if you took these rich fall flavors from your favorite stout and mixed them with a sour beer? Magic happens, that's what!""
You can definitely see that this year there's a variety of beers that range from interesting pumpkin ales to spooky lagers. I'm from El Paso and I know we definitely enjoy our beers, as evidenced by the fights I've seen in the many times I've been to a quinceanera in the role of chambalan, so this year celebrate the season and go with the theme and try one of these five delightful, "All hallows Eve drinks."
It might even be a genius treat idea to give away to all those pesky kids, I mean adults...
