Toddler Drives His Power Wheels on to Busy Highway Median

This kid was born to be wild.

A three year-old in his diaper gave motorists quite a scare when he drove his Power Wheels all the way from his house to the median of a busy highway in Crystal River, Florida on Wednesday.

Drivers spotted the toddler, wearing nothing but his diaper, on the busy median of the US 19. Good Samaritans stopped their cars to help get the child to safety until police arrived. One of those people, Danny Collins, took a picture of the situation because he didn't think anyone would believe him,

“I was shocked. That’s why I took the pictures. I was like nobody’s going to believe. Could have ended a lot differently if not for the people who stopped.”

Witnesses were able to stay with the child until the police arrived. The child's father showed up about ten minutes carter, according to Collins. The father said his son was able to get out of the house while he was in the bathroom. He put his little chair next to the door and was able to stand on it to open the door.

WFLA, the local news channel in Florida was able to track down the father and son at their home. When they asked about the situation and the child, the father just said it wasn't a good time and closed the door.
