New Mexico students took to social media to organize protests across the state, on Monday. The students were scheduled to take the new Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers, or PARCC test, but some of them just walked out.
We all make mistakes, but news anchors make mistakes live on-air. NewsBeFunny has compiled a blooper reel featuring the best mistakes by local news anchors, of August 2014. Surprisingly, a local anchor for KVIA is spotted in the video!
KVIA has a story about an on-going controversy in the sleepy hamlet of Anthony. Women there are complaining about a local, elderly man who exposes himself whenever a woman who fits his “type” (older, heavy-set, your mom) walks by his yard.
Paul Cicala used to be a sports reporter here in El Paso. He worked at KVIA for a couple of years, and is still well known around town. He loves El Paso and comes back often for events, but he ran into some trouble while covering a story a couple of days ago, and now, he'll live forever in Youtube infamy for tripping and falling on live tv...
One of our lovely KLAQ Morning Show Twitter followers tweeted out this video to us and it made my day. KVIA news anchor, Estela Casas was caught joking around with one of their news stories.
For a city that has more than 302 days of sunshine on average each year, we sure do have a ton of meteorologist. Some are a little crazy, like NewsChannel 9’s Mark Mathis, some are all business, like KFOX’s Sandra Diaz and everyone has their favorite. Cast your vote below for your favorite El Paso meteorologist.
I've got a link, below, to the KVIA story about how some people in El Paso have been going to Goodwill drop-offs in the wee hours and taking whatever they feel like.
This is obviously stealing because...
a.) the whole point of Goodwill is to provide jobs for people who are disabled, lack education or have other employment challenges...
