Minerpalooza

UTEP’s annual back-to-school block party, Minerpalooza, will be taking over the University of Texas at El Paso campus Friday, September 2, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. And you don’t have to be a UTEP student to attend; Minerpalooza is open to all of El Paso.

Austin-based Mariachi metal band Tequila Rock Revolution and El Paso’s Frontera Bugalu and Krystall Poppin are providing the live entertainment this year. More.

St. Anthony’s Bazaar

After two years of only selling plates drive-thru style, the St. Anthony's Seminary will be hosting its traditional kermes Saturday through Monday, complete with game booths, live entertainment, and those locally famous gorditas and glorious enchiladas.

St. Mark Catholic Church is holding their kermes Friday through Sunday on the church grounds, 1700 Pebble Hills.

The annual fundraiser has all the highlights of an El Paso kermes with the added entertainment of nightly concerts featuring El Paso favorites Fungi Mungle, Windy City, Azucar, and Juan Gabriel tribute artist Hugo Cortes.
