What Listeners Don’t Do Anymore Because of Scary Movies
As a horror movie lover, I like to think that at time, horror movies can be educational. Horror movies are great lessons in things you should NOT do.
For instance, I no longer like to even look at storm drains. It's not often that I see a storm drain in El Paso- but when I do see one, it immediately reminds me of Pennywise the clown!
If I had to pick one movie that I think is instrumental to how I go about my business, it's going to be "Final Destination". That movie showed you ways that you could get killed that you would have never dreamed of! To this day I can't hear "Rocky Mountain High" from John Denver without getting a least a little queasy.
I know I'm not alone in this- I know that there must be some of our listeners who also avoid doing things because of a horror movie.
I took to our Facebook page to ask you- our followers: "What is something you don't do anymore because of a scary movie?"
The responses were great! I think I speak for many of us when I say that "Final Destination" really did a number on us! From tanning beds, to freak roller coaster accidents, "Final Destination" taught us that Death is not one to mess with!
Other great horror movies that were mentioned were "The Exorcist", "The Hills Have Eyes" and "The Strangers" which taught all of us a valuable lesson in never answering the door in the middle of the night.
Here are some of your answers as to what you no longer do because of a horror movie.
