COVID 19 restrictions forced Wet 'N Wild Waterworld to delay the start of its 2020 season but it will reopen very soon and will feature a brand new thrill ride.

While disappointing to many, this setback does have an upside as it's allowing Wet 'N Wild and their staff to do some extra work on the park, prepare for new rules and policies that will be a condition of reopening and to complete a new ride. They are being tight-lipped regarding the new attraction but, they have said that it will be the biggest ride in the parks' 40-year history!

The new operating conditions for Wet 'N Wild include a reduced maximum capacity of 25% less than the norm, proper "social distancing" between peeps on rides and in the pools along with a new system for reserving and placing tables. (EPHP)

Patrons can rest assured that they are safe from COVID 19 while swimming as the CDC itself stated that:

“There is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, or water playgrounds. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs removes or inactivates the virus that causes COVID-19.” (CDC)

A summer entertainment staple in the Borderland for decades, the park is already missed by thousands but, don't worry ... the park has been ok'd to reopen and a firm opening date will be coming any day now.
