After a three year hiatus, the punk rock summer camp is returning to Las Cruces next year!

From 2003 to 2013, Warped Tour was a staple of the summer concerts in the Borderland. Every summer on one day, over 80 bands with hundred of vendors both local and national would gather at the NMSU intramural field. Then in 2014, the tour decided to go to Albuquerque, NM instead of Las Cruces. The concert cited routing as the reason for the change.

Now this year, Warped Tour decided to have two New Mexico dates; one in Albuquerque and one in Las Cruces. According to a release by Warped Tour, the Albuquerque will be on June 21st and the show in Las Cruces will happen on August 1st. The tour has always focused on alternative, punk, ska and rock bands.

Although Warped Tour has announced the show at New Mexico State University, according to the Alamogordo Daily News the school hasn't released an official announcement yet. Kyle Pierson, marketing and promotions coordinator for the university, said that the school was in discussions with the festival for a possible return.  Pierson said to check the NMSU Pan American Center / Special Events Facebook page for the official announcement.

Tickets for the show go on sale in March and the line-up hasn't been announced yet. Check KLAQ for when the lineup is announced.
