Walk For Wishes is this weekend at the Fountains At Farah. Find out how you can be a superhero for kids like Evalise, who suffers from short gut syndrome.

The Make-A-Wish foundation is a wonderful organization that works hard to grant wishes for children diagnosed with life-threatening conditions within the United States. Every 38 minutes, the Make-A-Wish foundation is able to grant the wish of one of these special children.

Children like 6 year-old Evalise.

Evalise battles short gut syndrome, a condition that happens when part of a person's small intestine is missing or removed during surgery. At such a young age, Evalise has had to deal with trials and tribulations that adults have difficulty facing.

Through the Make A Wish North Texas EL Paso Regional Office, Evalise's wish of traveling to Hawaii to meet a mermaid became a reality. Trips like this give children facing life-threatening illness hope, strength and joy.

Check out the photos above of the beautiful Evalise and Make A Wish helping make her dream come true.

One way that you can help make other children like Evalise's wishes come true is through Walk For Wishes.
