‘UFO’ Filmed Over New Jersey Was Actually the Goodyear Blimp
We had this story sent to us through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and email. Everyone freaking out about this 'UFO' that was flying over New Jersey. Here is some video.
Yup, that many people pulled off the road to film a 'UFO'. But in reality they were pulling over to film the Goodyear Blimp. A spokesperson for Goodyear confirmed their blimp was in the air at the time everyone was filming it because it was flying over the NEW YORK GIANTS FOOTBALL GAME. Don't you remember how they'd always say, "Aerial footage today brought to you by the Goodyear blimp." I guess we're used to so many other angles of the game we've completely forgot about the Goodyear Blimp, or even the MetLife Blimp.
To be completely honest, I have been to football games with a blimp flying overhead and it is still weird to see. I remember cruising down I-95 to Dolphin games in South Florida and having to do a double take when I would catch a glimpse of it out of the corner of my eye. And if you think about it, if the people filming this didn't know or couldn't tell that it was the Goodyear Blimp, to them it technically is an Unidentified Flying Object. It's flying, it's an object, and they don't know what it is making is unidentified. At least to them. Of course now we know better.
I'm willing to bet there's still those dark dredges of the Internet know that are somehow calling this a conspiracy theory and it wasn't actually the Goodyear Blimp.
