UC San Diego Students Go Topless In Support of Free the Nipple Campaign
The Free the Nipple campaign is till going strong as more people join in on events that attempt to promote equality and protest censorship laws in the United States. This week, students at UC San Diego organized an event to help "Free the Nipple."
According to 10news, Anni Ma of Free the Nipple UCSD, helped organize the event on campus where both male and female students gathered together to sit down topless on campus. Of course this is illegal since public nudity violates San Diego municipal codes, but for two hours the group was able to protest without worry of being arrested. The school told 10news that they supported the students right to free speech and worked with them to get the event to be a safe and comfortable zone.
Ma stresses that this movement isn't about sex, it's about equality. She believes it should be normal for everyone to walk around topless and feel comfortable. I totally agree and hopefully we will see some laws being made to normalize and free the nipple.
