Yikes! What would you do if your job told you that you needed to lose weight before the end of the year? If you don't, you risk losing out on raises, overtime or possibly be removed from duties.

Sounds brutal, right? Well, it's not so brutal if you're a Texas State Trooper, which is exactly what they were told. Actually, what they were told was that their waistlines needed to be slimmed down to 40 inches, for males, and for females, they need to slim down their waistlines to 35 inches.

This is according to the Dallas Morning News who obtained documents that found out that more than 200 Texas State Troopers failed waistline requirements. It seems kind of harsh for there to even be waistline requirements, but when you're suppose to be chasing bad guys, I guess there has to be some sort of requirement.

So now these Texas State Troopers have until December 1st to slim their waistlines down, if they don't they risk losing promotions, raises, overtime and they could even be removed from their duties- even if they pass all other physical tests! That waistline needs to be trimmed down. As someone who has been told many a time to get on a diet and lose some weight, I can understand how brutal it sounds, thankfully my job doesn't require a lot of physical activity!

However, there is a perk for these Troopers, you know, aside from their promotions, raises and job. KAMC reported that the Department of Public Safety will give out rewards for those who lose weight. Those rewards include a "fitness star" that can be worn on the officer! How fun, right?

Look, losing weight is hard, but I think we all stand behind these 200 Troopers, we're all cheering for you! Come December I'm sure we'll figure out how this all played out!
