Tobias Forge’s Hand Gesture At a Texas Radio Station Goes Viral
Yes we love Ghost in El Paso, Texas; we've seen them perform live 3 times and have had the pleasure to interview their frontman (and leader), Tobias Forge. However we were surprised to see that one particular interview we've done with Tobias Forge has gone viral, thanks to a certain hand gesture Tobias made in El Paso.
What Ghost image has been going viral that features KLAQ?
On the Ghost fan page based out of the UK, "itsalongwaydown", you'll find all kinds of images with Ghost artwork, concert photos, and of course...memes. They actually included an image of Tobias making a hand gesture and if you look at the background...you can see something familiar.
Yeah. That's KLAQ alright. That's OUR backdrop. They actually used a snapshot from one our interviews and turned it into a meme! (Which we absolutely appreciate by the way!). You can find that image on THIS post that includes 5 slides.
Here's the original interview KLAQ/Loudwire did with Tobias Forge
Before Ghost played El Paso on February 28, 2022, Tobias came into the studio to talk about their new album, Impera and was interviewed by Kevin Vargas. When Tobias was talking about which song they REALLY wanted to push a single, "Kaisarion", Tobias made a gesture when describing having to shorten the song, he compared it as "the gland & the balls" and did THIS at the 2:53 mark.
So there you go. THAT's where they got it. Even though the video was uploaded onto the Loudwire YouTube channel, the interview itself WAS recorded IN the KLAQ studios.
We definitely appreciate the usage of one of our interviews used in a meme so thank you to "_itsalongwaydown" for including us in one of your memes! You can find more interviews we did with Ghost & Tobias on our YouTube channel.
