Wait for it. The phrase is coming. Cue the Jaws theme. We are now in our **duh duhn... duh duhn... duh duhn duhn duhn duhn...** "NEW NORMAL"! Things have changed drastically since COVID-19 has caused us to reevaluate how we do things. Recently, 2,000 people were asked about things that will forever be different. Here are the top 10 things that we won't go back to doing even after COVID-19 either goes away or just becomes a slight nuisance.

  1. Sharing ChapStick
  2. Taking a bite out of someone else's sandwich
  3. Testing out make-up samples at the store
  4. Making out with strangers at the bar
  5. Borrowing someone else's bathing suit
  6. Using a friend's make-up
  7. Standing really close to other people in a line
  8. Leaving the house without hand sanitizer
  9. Sharing a bag of chips or another snack with someone who doesn't live in your house
  10. Using someone else's deodorant

Some of these seem pretty odd. If you are using someone else's deodorant, aren't you probably pretty close to that person already? The one that I am REALLT okay with is the standing close in a line. I recently took a trip and flew for the first time since the pandemic started. I flew on Southwest, and they don't assign seats. If you've never flown on Southwest, basically they give you a place in line and you get to choose your seat based on your place in line. They used to cram 60 people at once in a line, but now they are doing it in groups of 10. Guess what. I was glorious! Not only because you don't have people breathing down your neck, but it felt like it went a lot smoother. Of course there are always those people who will get up too early and hover near the line, but for the most part, it was well spaced out and went really smooth.
