5 Things I’ll Miss from Food City at Fox Plaza
Well, it's happening. Our beloved Food City at Fox Plaza is closing down and their final day is August 10th. After nearly 60 years, the Fox Plaza location will be closing it's doors, forever ending an El Paso tradition.
After that, the two options we'll have left are Ranchland at 7444 Gateway Blvd. East at Hunter Drive, and Estrella, at 3200 Alameda Ave. Despite efforts made by a local petition, the store hosted one last "farewell fiesta".
I know that there will be two other locations ready to welcome us, but the Fox Plaza location was the location closest to me; it was also the place where we would go to after spending a Sunday Morning at the Fox Plaza swap meet.
Here are five things I'll miss of the Fox Plaza location- that I'm sure many of you will miss too!
Farewell Food City at Fox Plaza
Much of El Paso is saddened by the news- and I'm one of them. Although, I do have to admit, I don't think I've ever been to the other two locations; well, maybe only the Estrella location one time.
I'm sure the other two locations are just as lovely, and obviously carry the same exact things that the Fox Plaza location has to offer; I'm just a creature of habit, and I have to admit that not seeing the Fox Plaza location open is going to be a bit weird.
For now, we must say goodbye to the location and continue to support their other two locations because, after all, they are an El Paso tradition!
