After the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg many are recalling some of their fond memories of the icon. Here's one of my favorite memories. On Friday, the news broke that feminist and legal icon Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had passed due to complications from pancreatic cancer. The world was shocked and heartbroken to learn of the 87-year-old's passing. Ginsburg had battled cancer on and off for twenty years, but continued to serve on the country's highest court. While many tried to convince her to retire, Ginsburg's continued to work and became a pop culture phenomenon. She earned the moniker the "Notorious RBG" and a new generation men, women, and children across the country learned about groundbreaking cases. After the decades she spent fighting against injustices in this country, it was only right that many would look up to her, admire her, and see her as the hero this generation needs.

While many of her wonderful achievements are well-known throughout the country, many aren't as familiar with RBG's hobbies. One of her favorites was to attend the opera, and one of her favorite cities to visit was Santa Fe. Ruth Bader Ginsburg would frequently spend her summers in the Land of Enchantment, and her favorite place to visit was the Sanat Fe Opera. I remember seeing this video a couple of years ago and being so moved by the way the audience reacted to see Justice Ginsburg. Check out the video below. We will miss you RBG.
