Comedy fans, the El Paso Comic Strip is gearing up to reopen their doors in June. Find out when they will be reopening and what comedians will be there in June. The El Paso Comic Strip was forced to shut its doors back in March due to the city-wide shutdown over the COVID-19 pandemic. The news came as quite a shock for comedian Willie Barcena, who was in town to perform that weekend at the Comic Strip. Willie came into town early to hang out with Buzz on the Morning Show, but ended up leaving before Friday after he found out the Comic Strip wouldn't be able to have his show. Since then, the city's comedy scene has been dry but now there is finally some light out there for those who miss the laughter. The El Paso Comic Strip will be reopening the week of June 8th. According to the venue's website, they will be taking some extra precautions due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

"We have temporarily reduced our seating capacity to observe 6' social distancing. Using professional-grade products we are sanitizing all common areas prior to and immediately after every show. We have always and continue to serve beverage and food items in single-use disposable plastic cups and trays in our showroom."

The comedy club is also asking customers to wash/ sanitize their hands regularly for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching their face, and to cover their mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing.
