The Drivers That Can Win The Daytona 500 For Texas & Arizona

February is the month that the NASCAR season kicks off; and it always starts with the Daytona 500. This year the 65th annual Daytona 500 is happening on February 19th & amongst the entire field of cars we have two drivers from Arizona & 1 driver from Texas who have the possibility of winning in 2023.

First we have Chris Buescher representing Prosper, Texas.

Chris Buescher is driving the 17 Fastenal Ford Mustang.  for RFK Racing. Chris currently has 2 victories: one in Pocono in 2016 & the other being last year during the night race at Bristol. He will be starting in the top 10, at #9.

Next we have Alex Bowman from Tuscon, Arizona.

Alex Bowman is driving the 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro for Hendrick Motorsports. Alex currently has 7 wins & he has the pole for Sunday's race, making it the 3rd time he's won the pole position for the Daytona 500.

And finally is the driver who HAS won the Daytona 500 before: Michael McDowell from Pheonix, Arizona.

Michael is driving the 34 Loves Ford Mustang for Front Row Motorsports. He currently has only one NASCAR win; but that win came 2 years ago at the very same race: the 2021 Daytona 500.

Who has the best chance on winning? Out of the 3, possibly Alex Bowman because he has the pole position. However in the history of the Daytona 500, ANYTHING can happen. 9 first time winners have won the race & favorites to win the race can either crash out or win it.
