I am so sad to find out they are not performing anymore! But more important is what happened and are they okay?

The Acacia Strain has been touring this year with Veil of Maya, Upon a Burning Body, Volumes, and Twitching Tongues and I was so excited to catch them this Thursday over at Tricky Falls. Unfortunately, the band just got in a serious accident in their tour van.

Thankfully, no one was seriously injured in the accident although some band members and crew were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. From the reports that were taken, and the picture they uploaded to their Facebook, the van is totaled. So even thought I am sad the band will not be performing Thursday here in El Paso, I am glad to see that everyone in the band and their crew are safe.

The band released this official statement:

The Acacia Strain Forced to Leave Co-Headliner; Van Accident

It comes with heavy hearts and sadness to announce that The Acacia Strain will be leaving their Co-Headlining tour with Veil Of Maya due to a serious van accident. Members of the band and crew are being treated for minor injuries, nothing serious.

Frontman, Vincent Bennet commented, "Canceling tour dates is something we hate doing but we will make it up to all of you. We are all very grateful to be alive and will see you in the New Year."

Please still go and support the other bands though! You still have Veil of Maya, Upon A Burning Body, Volumes, and Twitching Tongues to go and check out at this show! Doors open at 5 PM, tickets are $15 and this is an all ages event. You can check out the event's Facebook here. You can check out The Acacia Strain's Facebook here to send your best wishes.
