Picture it: It's Thanksgiving day at the Barbacoa household and we've all sat down to feast! Because my family are Cowboys fans, the TV in the living room was set to the game. Now, me, not being a football fan, I didn't care for the game but where I sat down I had a perfect view of the television. So the cowboys are playing and I'm stuffing my face glancing up to admire the players every now and then when suddenly, I hear THE VOICE. You know which one. That unmistakable voice. It was the voice of Darth Vader, the voice of CNN and the voice that every 90's kid knows as MUFASA.

The first trailer to the live action version of "The Lion King" was released and at that moment, I made my entire family shush! It was magical! Directed by Jon Favreau, it stars Donald Glover AKA Childish Gambino as the crown prince of Pride Rock- Simba. A full list of cast was released and everyone lost it when Beyonce was announced as Nala. It also stars Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumba, John Oliver as Zazu and reprising his role as the King of Pride Rock, James Earl Jones as Mufasa. As a 90's kid, "The Lion King" holds a special place in my heart, so suffice it to say that I am super excited for it! "The Lion King" is set to release on July 19, 2019.
