A Texas man has been arrested after a video went viral of him punching a guy in the face for playing an anti-Trump rap song. A heated moment in Texas led to a man being punched in the face, all over an anti-Trump song. Police were called on Saturday to the parking lot of a Buc-ee's in Denton after an incident between Donald Trump supporters and anti-Trumpers.

A man and his friend got into an argument with a Donald Trump supporter who told them to turn off the YG song "F*** Donald Trump" that they had playing from their vehicle. The supporter began yelling into the man's face and the two men refused when he then proceeded to sucker punch him in the face. The assault was caught on camera and posted on Twitter where it quickly went viral.

The victim has been identified as Dan Royce Schochler III and he was taken to the hospital after the altercation. After the video went viral, the aggressor was identified as  44-year-old Jason Lata from Flower Mound, Texas. The Denton Police Department tweet out on October 3rd that they had issued an arrest warrant for Lata and that he was in custody.

Jason Lata was released from the Denton City Jail after his bail was posted and a GoFundMe was started for the victim of the punch.

"My name is Dan Royce Schochler III, I live in Denton TX, I was assaulted for peacefully protesting and standing up for myself. Any help paying my medical bills would be greatly appreciated. Any money I don’t need will be used to support Denton’s Food, not Bombs and the Audre Lorde Project. Thank you so much for your support."

So far the GoFundMe has raised over $5,000 for Schochler's medical bills. You can read more about this incident on the DailyMail website.
