We've had some amazing concerts to El Paso in 2022 in the last few months: Ghost, Dead Poet Society, Jack White. And there's plenty more coming too. One in particular is happening in just a couple of weeks right now; a band who's rocked El Paso before two years before the pandemic hit: fellow Texas rockers Blacktop Mojo.

Blacktop Mojo were found back in 2012 in far east Texas in the small town of Palestine (not too far from Dallas, Houston & Tyler). They scored a huge hit in 2019 with "It Won't Last" from their album Under the Sun. They've definitely got a sound that's reminiscent of the classic rock sound with a touch of blues spriklined throughout.

Blacktop Mojo has also experienced a ton of success & recognition with their covers: like In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins

Dreams by Fleetwood Mac

But probably their most success cover was their cover of Dream On by Aerosmith.

Blacktop Mojo will be hitting the road again starting July 15th with some Texas dates:

  • Kyle on the 15th
  • Abilene on the 17th

And they're coming back to the Rockhouse Dive Bar & Kitchen, 9828 Montana on July 19th. The last time they were here was back in January 2020 before everything had to be shut down thanks to COVID & before that, they came to Tricky Falls so they're no stranger to our side of Texas.

Tickets start at $20 & you can get yours right here. You can also see the rest of their 2022 tour dates on their official website.
