How They Got the Results

Over at Shane Co, they ran a nationwide survey for two weeks in May 2022. They asked more than 3,000 Americans about their favorite frozen cocktails, how often they drink them, and more.

Of course the answer was going to be a frozen margarita! You asked TEXANS in the middle of SUMMER! Yeah, summer doesn't usually officially begin until June, but this is TEXAS; it is hot by April!

But the frozen margarita wasn't just Texas' favorite, it was basically all of America's favorite! 36 out of the 44 states surveyed also preferred the frozen marg. Other two contenders were the pina colada and a daquiri.

I can't say that I disagree with the results, I love a good margarita. Whether it's blended or on the rocks (I actually prefer on the rocks, but I won't turn down a blended margarita!) Margaritas are my go-to drink preference when I go to a new place, I feel I can really judge a place based on their margarita.

I especially love how versatile margaritas can be. They can be different flavors (currently, my favorite is a coconut-pineapple margarita), you can add different garnishes- really, it's amazing how creative people can get with margaritas.
